Hi Pacho,

There is no activity on system log for Fn+F11 combination. The system does not
show any error message nor character strings.

Appears to be the key combination is accepted, but is not assigned. Only wi-fi
led turns on and off for each keypress.

Can you install "xev", run it and, while running, press the key combination
looking for messages? Thanks

Work In Progress... ;)

Installing 'xev'... already installed
Running 'xev'... done
Press key combination Fn+F11 and watch for messages... done

Results:

Pressing Fn+F11, WiFi LED on: NO EVENTS
Pressing Fn+F11, Wifi LED off: NO EVENTS

I'm guess they are bad news...

Maybe we need to go more deeper in keytables... :(

This looks to me like a kernel issue then, but I don't know if there is an easy
solution/fix for this now :-/

Hmmm... it remeber me the solution for ath5k in eee bug... a bit of kernel
hacking is not easy/quick to do really.

This bug is also present in Clevo M5x0V variations, as Kapok, Gericom Advent,
IPC, Time, Tiny, etc... there are several OEM-branded Clevo notebooks with same
hardware.

How can I narrow it more down? do you know commandline/kernel tools to watch
keystrokes?

Dec 15 16:47:50 localhost kernel atkbd.c: Unknown key pressed (translated set
2, code 0x81 on isa0060/serio0).
Dec 15 16:47:50 localhost kernel atkdb.c: Use 'setkeycodes e001 <keycode>' to
make it known.

Yes, it is a kernel issue...

In Windows, is supplied a Chicony keyboard driver. I will try the Chicony
driver supplied with 2009 to see if it works better.

The wireless device is a Ralink RT61.

The driver creates classes for LEDs in /sys/class/leds, but the class LEDs are internal to Ralink card. Panel LEDs are acessed in similar way to clevo::mailled driver fashion.

kernel team will know, if they keys aren't detected, will be imposible to
assign any action to them
I reassigned to Kernel on your behalf, since I posted at same time with you :)

I don't know what Ralink driver does in Windows, but deactivating wireless is
seen by network control (i.e. wireless network is disconnected and Windows asks
to turn wireless radio on again).
